Amyoger 50mg (Riluzole)

Amyoger (Riluzole) is in the category of benzothiazole drugs. This drug is prescribed by doctors to slow the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Amyoger inhibits the effect of glutamate on motor neurons.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease is a progressive disease of the nervous system that affects the nerve cells of the brain and spinal cord and leads to the loss of muscle control. This disease causes progressive and irreparable damage to the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and peripheral nervous system. This disease leads to the gradual loss of muscle function, and by weakening the muscles, it gradually affects the person with general paralysis. So that the ability of any movement will be taken away from the person. A common feature of ALS is increased levels of the amino acid glutamate, an excess of which causes nerve cell death.
